On June 25, the Golden State Valkyries will host the New York Liberty in an intriguing WNBA regular-season match-up. The Valkyries have exceeded all expectations with a 7-6 record. They have won five of their last six games, beating some elite teams in the process.
On the other hand, the Liberty has a strong 10-3 record but has lost three of its last four games. They are also without their crucial player, Jonquel Jones, hurting their two-way balance.
Anyway, a team like Valkyries is a nightmare for bettors as they keep making a mockery of odds. Will they channelize the 18,000+ crowd and do so again? Find out my WNBA Same parlay for the battle between the Valkyries and the Liberty based on BetMGM.
The Liberty has not played its best ball lately. After being the #1 across the ranks for more than a month, they have fallen off on both ends. But don’t underestimate the duo of Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu.
They must be hungry to put the woes behind them and hold the fort without Jonquel Jones. Hence, I see a big-time effort from them and would choose them to cover the spread against the most determined team in the league.
Sabrina Ionescu missed the last game due to an injury, but she is most likely going to play here. Ionescu is averaging 20.4 points per game and has put up 23 PPG in six games this month.
The Liberty PG is prone to tough shooting nights but also knows how to bounce back from such setbacks. I expect her to have a big night here, scoring at least 20 points.
WNBA SGP: Liberty -8.5 and Ionescu O 19.5 points for +195 at BetMGM
Apart from the above SGP, there are other lucrative options. Another interesting player prop option is Nyara Sabally. The predominant paint player can be a strong rebounder.
She has tallied 5.6 RPG for the season, but has snatched 7 or more in three of the last four games. I’ll expect her to tally at least 7 here too. Meanwhile, I expect the total to go just a shade over 160.5, so, will go for “Over” there in what can be a shootout.

Hi, I am Shubham. I am currently an NBA Predictions Writer on The Playoffs. I enjoy this job because it helps keep me in the loop about the game I love while fulfilling the pleasure I derive from stats. I got into NBA writing through social media interactions in the mid-2010s as I shared my takes on young talents such as D’Angelo Russell. I hope you enjoy reading my pieces as much as Dennis Rodman loved rebounding the basketball!
