Florida Gators guard Will Richard is playing his senior season with the team which made it to the 2025 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament Championship on the back of a 79-73 win over Auburn. In his junior season in 2023-24, Richard recorded 70 three-pointers across all 36 games. Richard recorded 20 double-digit scoring performances and was named MVP in the Orange Bowl Classic.
He became the first Gator since 2020 to score five three-pointers in two straight games against Grambling State and Quinnipiac. He began his collegiate career for Belmont in the 2021-22 season and where he averaged 12.1 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. Richard registered double figures in 23 games and scored 15 points in at least 12 games. He recorded his top performance against Samford by finishing at 23 points, which was followed by a 22-point game against Vanderbilt.
In the 2024-25 season with the Gators, Richard is averaging 13.2 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. He came up with two 15-point games in Second Round and Sweet 16 clashes against Connecticut and Maryland, respectively.
