Week 2 Thursday Night Football Tonight – Green Bay Packers vs Washington Commanders Same Game Parlay and Best Underdog Bets

Devavrat Kulkarni

Thursday Night Football (TNF) kicks off week 2 of the 2025 NFL season with the Green Bay Packers taking on the Washington Commanders at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. In a matchup that pits two top teams from the NFC side of the league, this game is set to be an exciting contest.

This game promises to be a tough battle, especially considering the way they won their opening week games. Green Bay was particularly impressive in its comfortable win over the Detroit Lions last week. While the offense can still improve, the defense was a menace to Jared Goff all game long.

Washington had an easier time on the field in their 21-6 victory over divisional opponents, the New York Giants. The offense flourished under Jayden Daniels, Deebo Samuel, and running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt, but tonight’s test will show us what they are actually made of.

Packers vs Commanders Same Game Parlay

Here are some same game parlays for tonight’s game between the Green Bay Packers and the Washington Commanders. (All bets are sourced from FanDuel).

Same Game Parlay 1:

Josh Jacobs any time TD (-200) + Jordan Love 250+ passing yards (+152) + Terry McLaurin 60+ receiving yards (+106)

Josh Jacobs is the primary running option for the Packers, and there is a strong chance he gets in the endzone at least once this game. Last season, he had a total of 16 rushing and receiving touchdowns.

Jordan Love had 3,389 from 15 games, which works out to approximately 225 yards passing per game last season, while Terry McLaurin is the Commanders’ primary receiver, and he should receive more targets in tonight’s game.

Same Game Parlay 2:

Commanders’ 1st drive field goal (+350) + Jordan Love over 1.5 passing TD (-112) + Total under 45.5 (+126)

The Commanders have the offensive weapons to get off to a quick start and put points on the board, even on the first drive. Jordan Love has 57 passing touchdowns from 32 games ever since becoming the starting quarterback, which is close to 2 touchdowns a game.

The under 45.5 total points is a real possibility since both teams have strong defensive capabilities. Furthermore, being TNF, it is a short week.

Same Game Parlay 3:

Deebo Samuel most receiving yards (+300) + Jacory Croskey-Merritt under 40.5 rushing yards (-114) + Matthew Golden 3+ Receptions (-174)

With Terry McLaurin still not up to speed, the majority of the receiving workload will once again fall on Deebo Samuel. As for the Packers, they have a varied receiving corps that shares the workload.

Jacory Croskey-Merritt had a fine rushing performance in week 1, but that was against the New York Giants. Up against the Packers, the defense should limit Croskey-Merritt from rushing for over 40 yards.

Green Bay has high hopes for rookie wideout Matthew Golden. He should get to see the ball thrown his way a bit more than in the first game.

Wideout Jayden Reed has a good chance of eclipsing 60 receiving yards. The Packers do not have a typical WR1, but Reed’s performance against the Lions saw him net 45 receiving yards.

Jayden Daniels is a very equipped runner of the football. Expect him to be running around against the Packers’ defense throughout the game. He also has a 53.3 yards per game rushing average through his 18 games so far.

Lukas Van Ness is one of the best defenders on the Packers right now. With players such as Micah Parsons and Rashan Gary commanding attention, it could leave the door open for Van Ness to make his mark with a sack.
