Warriors’ Offense Is Nothing Without Stephen Curry, and the Latest Stats Show the Grim Reality!

When Curry stumbles, Warriors offense crumble!

Golden State Warriors fans have been on a wild ride. The team started hot, going 6-0 in preseason. Then, they stumbled, dropping as low as 12th in the West. A blockbuster trade for Jimmy Butler then turned things around, with the team going 16-3 after his arrival. But now, as the regular season enters crucial stage, doubts are creeping in again.

Losing Klay Thompson was a big blow. Many expected the offense to suffer. But Stephen Curry, Buddy Hield, and Andrew Wiggins stepped up. The Warriors started strong, winning 12 of their first 15 games.

Then came trouble. Curry had a slump, injuries hit, and Hield struggled with consistency. The team went 3-9 in December, dropping their win percentage to .500, and things looked rough.

However, the trade deadline changed the season. Jimmy Butler joined, and the Warriors found new life. His arrival helped Curry to be his vintage best. Hield became a key player off the bench. Draymond Green stepped up on defense and DPOY odds. The Warriors went 16-3 after the trade and climbed to 6th in the West. A playoff push looked certain.

Then, Curry went down. A pelvic contusion kept him out for two games. Without him, the Warriors’ offense crumbled.

Warriors’ Offense Is Worst in the League Without Curry

Against the Miami Heat, the problems were glaring. The team shot just 39.8% from the field and committed 12 turnovers. Miami, despite 15 turnovers, shot 55.8%. From three, the difference was even worse. Golden State hit just 9 of 38 attempts, while the Heat, led by Tyler Herro, went 17-for-25.

So, was it just an off day for the Dubs’ offense?

Turns out, it wasn’t.

With Curry, the Warriors have a 117.3 offensive rating, ranking 6th in the NBA. Without him, it crashes to 105.2 – the worst in the league. Even with a 7-4 record without him, their offense looks lost, proving just how much they depend on their superstar to keep the scoring going.

The good news for Warriors fans for now is that Curry is set for a return on Friday against the New Orleans Pelicans. His presence should bring much-needed stability to the offense, and to their playoff push.
