Happy Birthday Chef Curry!
Stephen Curry isn’t just a great shooter – he is the greatest the game has ever seen. Honestly, the chances of me winning the lottery are probably higher than Curry missing a wide-open three! As the “Three Point King” celebrates his 37th birthday today, it’s the perfect time to celebrate his record-breaking career.
Here are five of his most legendary records that are unlikely to be broken.
Curry has a habit of lighting up scoreboards with deep threes. He holds the record for the most games with at least nine made three-pointers, with 45 games.
For comparison:
Damian Lillard has 14 games.
Klay Thompson has 12 games.
No one else even comes close!

The 2015-16 season was legendary for Curry and the Warriors. That year, he sank an NBA-record 402 three-pointers – the most ever in a single regular season. That was also the season Golden State set the all-time best record of 73-9.
Curry hit at least one three-pointer in 268 straight regular-season games – a streak that lasted five years (2018-2023).
The next closest streak? Curry himself with 157 straight games between 2014-2016.
Curry isn’t just a three-point master, he is also the best free-throw shooter in NBA history. His career free-throw percentage stands at 91.1%, making him the most reliable player at the line.
The only time Steph misses his free throws is when someone jinxes it! (Sorry, Kevin Harlan!)
A day before his birthday, Curry gave his fans a perfect return gift as he reach the 4000 career three-pointers milestone. Against the Sacramento Kings, the then 36-year-old Curry became the first player ever to make 4,000 career three-pointers. He needed just two threes to set the record – and of course, he got them.
The next closest? 35-year-old James Harden with 3,124 three-pointers.
