Pierre Gasly Disappointed on The Premise of “Painful” Year Ahead!

Rohan Singh

Pierre Gasly's words echo his disappointment in the Alpine A525 as he navigates a troublesome season in Alpine F1.

Pierre Gasly is one of the most talented drivers of the Formula 1 grid. Although, his 2025 season is nowhere close to his expectations. From the start of the season, Gasly is unable to bring out the best in his Alpine. He often gets knocked out of qualifying early on. He has to face multiple issues during race. Sometimes, he loses multiple positions after a good start from the grid.

In 14 Formula 1 races, Pierre Gasly has won only 20 points for Alpine F1. He only has 4 Top-10 finishes this season. In Hungary, Pierre Gasly was the last driver to finish the race. His Alpine had no pace to combat the much better cars in the midfield. Over the season, the back marker cars like Aston Martin and Sauber were also able to claim positive progress. But Alpine on the other hand, is miles away from any good signs.

Pierre Gasly is Already Fed Up of the 2025 Season and its Challenges

Gasly is the lead driver of the team in 2025. His rookie teammates are nowhere near as close to replicating his performances. However, the continuous disappointment of being unable to perform is taking over the Frenchman.

Talking about the Hungary Grand Prix in Budapest,

“I just want to work with the team for next year. I know what we have to fight for next year. I know this year is going to be painful and I don’t want to get into frustration of not having the races we would like. “

“We just try to focus on my driving, putting the best work I can for the team. I fought hard every single weekend. This season is not going to be easy until  the end of the year but I just want to work for next year.”

While Pierre Gasly is unable to develop enough motivation about the current Formula 1 season, his teammate is aiming to claim a “reset” during the summer break. Franco Colapinto was once again brought forth as a replacement driver in 2025 F1 season.

Although this time around, he is far away from replicating the good performance like the 2024 Williams F1. The pressure is already building up for the Argentinian driver. Like his teammate, he is yet to make sense of the uncompetitive A525. Luckily, for him Alpine places more belief in him than his predecessor.
