This game is a highly anticipated one as we could see the NHL debut of the Islanders’ number one overall pick, Matthew Schaefer, in action. Moreover, if he does play, he would be up against Sydney Crosby, making for one exciting matchup.
Thanksgiving Day in Canada is also the NHL’s debut on Prime Video for the new season, and it will feature a doubleheader. In the first game, the Detroit Red Wings travel to Toronto to take on the Maple Leafs, while the second game features the St. Louis Blues in Vancouver to face the Canucks.
Panthers forward Brad Marchand was traded by the Bruins midway through last season. He joined Florida and went on to be an integral part of their Stanley Cup-winning run. This will be his first game back in Boston since his departure, making it an exciting one to follow.

After starting my professional career as a French-to-English translator, working as a content writer is a new adventure for me. I started out in the sports media field for two main reasons: my love for sports in general, especially the NFL, NBA, and Tennis, as well as my passion for writing. The best part of this job is that I get to write a variety of pieces with the freedom to explore content from various angles. It also enables me to stay up to date with the sporting world, which otherwise can be difficult to do in the day-to-day grind. In a world full of chaos, sports unite and entertain like nothing else!
