The Minnesota Timberwolves are on the cusp of elimination. They will look to save their season as they take on the Oklahoma City Thunder on May 28. Timberwolves’ aces Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle will look for big contributions, while Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will be ready for another big performance. Here is a look at the player props for WCF Game 5 on BetMGM and FanDuel.
Anthony Edwards Over 27.5 Points for +116 (FanDuel)
Ant-Man has been a mixed bag during the postseason. He had just 16 points in Game 4, reminiscent of his 18-point struggle during Game 1. But in between, two 30 or more games in two straight games. I expect the Timberwolves’ ace to have a big night in hopes of saving his team’s season.
Jaden McDaniels O 12.5 Points for -102 (FanDuel)
McDaniels is not going to give you 20+ points every night, but he is one of the most high-performing players in the lineup. J-Mac had 22 points in Game 4, an identical output to Game 2. But in the other two games, he had scored 10 or fewer points. That’s the typical McDaniels experience. But I see him breaking the trail and scoring 13 or more points in Game 5.
Chet Holmgren O 15.5 Points for -110 (BetMGM)
The lanky power forward scored 21 points in Game 4, his second 20+ points performance in two of the last three games. He has dropped 18 or more in seven games thus far, and I expect him to do so again.
Isaiah Hartenstein O 6.5 Rebounds for -114 (BetMGM)
I-Hart has been a stellar rebounding presence for the Thunder throughout the season. However, his numbers are down from 8.7 RPG in the previous series to 6.3 RPG in the current series. He has hit the ‘Over’ the 6.5 mark just once in four games as his minutes have reduced. However, I see him clasping 6+ rebounds in this game.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Over 7.5 Assists for -114 (FanDuel)
SGA is on a tear, scoring-wise, contributing 30.8 PPG during January. On the other hand, SGA has been a tremendous playmaker, averaging 8.3 assists per game. Thus, he can be a safe pick to dish out over 7 assists.

Hi, I am Shubham. I am currently an NBA Predictions Writer on The Playoffs. I enjoy this job because it helps keep me in the loop about the game I love while fulfilling the pleasure I derive from stats. I got into NBA writing through social media interactions in the mid-2010s as I shared my takes on young talents such as D’Angelo Russell. I hope you enjoy reading my pieces as much as Dennis Rodman loved rebounding the basketball!
