The night of April 1, 2025, turned out to be a thrilling scoring night in NBA! While fans were still recovering from the thrilling finish in the Warriors vs. Grizzlies game, which saw Stephen Curry score 52 points, the matchup between the Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves took the excitement up another notch with a dramatic Timberwolves win.
Nikola Jokic had a career-high 61-point triple-double night, the most points ever recorded in an NBA triple-double, but had little to celebrate afterward as a poor foul by Russell Westbrook on Nickeil Alexander-Walker’s three-point attempt allowed the Timberwolves to secure a one-point win.
Curry’s 52-point night was his 15th career game scoring 50 points or more. It was also the 10th time he reached this milestone after turning 30. Meanwhile, for Jokic it was his first time breaching the 60-point mark. His previous career high was 56, which he also scored this season.
