Blockbuster men’s doubles final awaits Arthur Ashe Stadium.
Two veteran pairs will clash in the men’s doubles final at the US Open 2025, as multiple-time finalists Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos take on British No. 6 seeds Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski on Saturday. While Salisbury is a three-time champion at Flushing Meadows, the other three competitors are former runners-up at the event. In a repeat of the Roland Garros summit clash from earlier this year, which combination will reign supreme? Follow The Playoffs News and BetMGM for all the latest updates regarding the US Open finals weekend.
Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos are among the most decorated doubles pairing going around. The No. 5 seeds have been in top form throughout the year, and managed to pick up their first major title together at Roland Garros 2025. Apart from this, they also won titles at Bucharest and Madrid. After losing three major finals, the Spanish-Argentine duo finally broke the jinx this year, and will be looking for another grand success. They have beaten Kecmanovic/Medjedovic, McDonald/Quinn, Pavlasek/Zielinski, Frantzen/Haase and Cash/Tracy en route to the final.

Both doubles superstars in their own right, Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski decided to form an all-British pairing in 2025. Although they are yet to win a title together, they reached finals in Doha, Barcelona, Roland Garros, Toronto and now New York. Salisbury has captured the doubles championship at Flushing Meadows thrice – alongside Rajeev Ram. On the other hand, Skupski’s only previous Grand Slam success was at Wimbledon 2023. So far this week, Salisbury/Skupski have defeated Goldhoff/Stalder, Exsted/Woestendick, Nys/Roger-Vasselin, Machac/Vocel and Bhambri/Venus.

Granollers/Zeballos lead the head-to-head against Salisbury/Skupski by 2-1. While the Briton duo won the first of these encounters at the Rome Masters, Granollers and Zeballos came up trumps in back-to-back Grand Slam battles.
Event | Round | Winner | Score |
2025 Wimbledon | Quarterfinal | Granollers/Zeballos | 7-6(6) 7-6(3) |
2025 Roland Garros | Final | Granollers/Zeballos | 6-0 6-7(5) 7-5 |
2025 Rome | Quarterfinal | Salisbury/Skupski | 6-3 6-2 |
Granollers / Zeballos | Category | Salisbury / Skupski |
14 / 11 | Current Doubles Ranking | 15 / 10 |
558-336 / 393-227 | Career Doubles W-L Record | 271-146 / 331-208 |
26-6 / 28-10 | YTD Doubles W-L Record | 40-18 / 42-19 |
30 / 25 | Career Doubles Titles | 17 / 17 |
3 / 3 | YTD Doubles Titles | 0 / 0 |
1 / 1 | Doubles Grand Slams | 4 / 1 |
When it comes to all-court success, it doesn’t get much better than Granollers and Zeballos. The left-right combination makes it tricky for opponents to get a read on ball placement and switching positions on court. On the other hand, Salisbury knows the success mantra in New York better than most people, but will need his 35-year-old partner to have a great outing on serve. While Granollers/Zeballos have been more efficient in terms of break point conversion, Salisbury/Skupski are looking more assured on serve.
Prediction: Salisbury/Skupski in three sets.

Granollers/Zeballos have a slight edge in terms of the betting odds, while Salisbury/Skupski will be the minnows in the final. The pre-match market suggests a potential three set battle is on the cards. Here’s what you need to know (as per BetMGM):
