La Liga 2025-26 Season Preview
As the new season draws closer, the race for the La Liga title is heating up — at least in the eyes of bookmakers. With squads taking shape and transfer windows still open, oddsmakers have laid out the early favorites for the 2025/26 Spanish top-flight crown. Unsurprisingly, Real Madrid lead the pack, while Barcelona trail just behind in what’s expected to be another two-horse battle. But don’t rule out Atletico Madrid, and a few long shots might offer tempting value.

La Liga 2025-26 Season Predictions
As the season approaches, the odds may shift based on summer transfers, pre-season form, and injuries. But for now, it’s Real Madrid’s title to lose — and Barcelona’s to steal.
At -140, Real Madrid are the clear frontrunners to reclaim or retain their dominance in Spain. With Thibaut Courtois back to full fitness, a refreshed midfield, and an attack led by Vinicius Jr., Mbappe and Jude Bellingham, Los Blancos are well-equipped for another title charge. Manager Xabi Alonso is expected to build on new signing’s momentum, and the squad’s depth gives them a serious edge over rivals.
Barcelona, priced at +120, are not far behind. Under Hansi Flick, the Blaugrana are undergoing a tactical reboot. A return to Camp Nou, a promising young core, and potential late-summer signings could narrow the gap with Madrid. But consistency and off-field distractions — including the lingering shadow of the Negreira case — could prove disruptive.
Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid are at +950, reflecting their outsider status compared to the big two. Still, Diego Simeone’s squad is never easy to write off. With a strong defensive base and the return of key attacking players, Atleti could be dark horses if the big guns slip up.
Further down the odds list, Villarreal and Athletic Bilbao sit at +7500, while Real Betis round out the list at +9500. These clubs will need everything to go right — from form and fitness to taking points off the big three — to even entertain a title challenge. While unlikely, stranger things have happened in football, and their strong home records and tactical discipline could rattle a few cages.
