However, the Briton has been working behind the scenes with the team to help them increase performance and have better options for future. Hamilton’s new reveal roused curiosity in the paddock owing to the seven-time world champion’s success in previous teams.
Over the past few weekends, the media is trying to gather as much information and details possible about the same. Naturally, Lewis Hamilton did not reveal the contents of his notes but assured the media that it was merely a word document for the team’s use. During his interview with Formula 1, Lewis Hamilton went on to explain the work he has been doing behind the scenes for the team. Here’s all he had to say about his first year with Ferrari and how he is making sure that the team has everything needed.
Lewis Hamilton is a seven time world champion. He is known for making sure that the team has everything need for success on race weekends. During his tenure with Mercedes and his early days with McLaren, Hamilton made multiple visits to the factory. It seems that he has not given up on his habits at his new home either.
Lewis Hamilton explains that he initiates multiple meetings with Ferrari officials-
“I hold a lot of meetings, so I’ve called on lots of meetings with the heads of the team. I’ve sat with John, Benedetto and Fred , several meetings.
“I’ve sat with the head of our car development, with Loic, but also with the heads of different departments, talking about the engine for next year, talking about front suspension for next year, talking about rear suspension for next year, things that you want, issues that you have with the car.”
Finally, Lewis Hamilton also shed light on the documents he has been compiling. The majority of these documents include some “structural adjustments” in the team, car issues and points to be taken under consideration in future designs.
Lewis Hamilton refused to talk more about the issue. He also did not reveal the reactions to his documents in front of the media. Ultimately, Lewis has confidence in his team. According to him, the documents he compiled were merely to keep the team running as smooth as possible.
