Ace Bailey, a freshman forward from Rutgers, stands out as one of the top prospects in the 2025 NBA Draft, often projected to be a very high pick due to his electrifying skill set. Hailing from Chattanooga, Tennessee, and later dominating at McEachern High School in Georgia, Bailey earned Mr. Georgia Basketball honors and was a consensus five-star recruit coming into college. However, rather than choosing other top schools which students usually prefer, Bailey shocked the basketball world by joining Rutgers as their highest-rated prospect ever.
His scoring prowess draws frequent comparisons to Kevin Durant, thanks to his ability to rise over defenders with a high, quick release and knock down contested jumpers from anywhere on the court. Bailey’s versatility as a three-level scorer, averaging 17.6 points per game in college, showcases his elite shot-making, particularly in the mid-range, a rare focus in today’s NBA, where three-pointers or rim attackers dominate. His smooth footwork, athleticism, and ability to create off the dribble makes him a scoring machine.
Despite needing to refine his ball-handling skills, Bailey’s raw talent, length, and scoring instincts position him as a potential franchise cornerstone, with a ceiling that could see him become a superstar.

Ace Bailey at Rutgers averaged 17.6 points, 1.3 blocks, 1.0 steals, 1.3 assists, and 7.2 rebounds, on 46% shooting from the field and 34.6 percent from deep. His free throw shooting is a concern, shooting right around 69.2%, which is below his standards.
Ace Bailey’s Accomplishments;
While Ace Bailey was once looked at as a top-5 pick, he is now expected to significantly fall in the NBA draft and there is no telling how far down. This is due to his unconventional draft-process. He’s cancelled workouts with multiple teams, has not participated in any of the individual workouts or team visits so far, and is now, according to some mock drafts, expected to be drafted by the Washington Wizards as the 6th overall pick.
I cover the National Football League and things cannot get better than that. I always dreamed to play football or basketball professionally since I’m built like a Running Back. But now that I can’t, since I’m technically in the “Unc” age, I thought why not pick a career in sports industry? So here I am, doing what I love, and hoping that the Commanders win the Super Bowl. I give love to players when it’s due, but can be critical about their performances at the same time. Enough about me, now let my articles do all the talking.
