Madison Keys vs. Clara Tauson Head-to-Head, Prediction and Betting Odds for WTA National Bank Open 2025 Quarterfinal

Sankalp Harikrishnan

Tauson took out Wimbledon champ Swiatek in the R16.

Two players who won titles very early on in 2025 will take centre stage, when Australian Open champion Madison Keys battles ASB Classic winner Clara Tauson on Tuesday. It will be the second career meeting between the two stars in the 2025 National Bank Open quarterfinal in Montreal. Here’s all you need to know about the preview of the match, and our predictions for the result. Additionally, BetMGM looks at the best odds for the Canadian Open QF.

After winning the title in Auckland, World No. 19 Clara Tauson suffered a Round of 32 defeat to Aryna Sabalenka at Melbourne Park. Speaking of the Australian Open, it was Madison Keys who conquered the top seed and won her maiden Grand Slam trophy to kick off 2025. While the Danish sensation had a bit of a drop off in level after reaching the final in Dubai, Keys reached semifinals at Indian Wells and Queen’s Club.

The 30-year-old American is the 6th seed in Montreal this week – she defeated Siegemund, McNally and Muchova en route to the last eight. A phenomenal 75% service game success rate, backed by her 48% break point conversion, has led to a 20-2 hard court record so far. On the other hand, Tauson has reached the R16 or better at her last five competitions. The 22-year-old upset Wimbledon champion Iga Swiatek in her last match on Centre Court.

Madison Keys vs Clara Tauson Head to Head Record

Tauson leads the head-to-head against Keys by 1-0. Their only previous encounter was at the 2025 ASB Classic in Auckland, wherein the Danish No. 1 defeated her higher ranked opposition en route to the title. The Canadian Open QF is set to be their second match-up in 2025 on hard courts.

Madison Keys vs Clara Tauson WTA National Bank Open 2025 Prediction

Keys seems to be the marathon woman of the year – she has survived multiple scares after being down match point. The American will focus on using her superior power from the baseline to rattle Tauson. Meanwhile, the young gun has age on her side; provided she can stay away from the strike zone of the Keys forehand and get her moving towards the net, she will find openings. However, we believe Keys will find the answers to prevail.

Prediction: Madison Keys in three sets.
