NBA Summer League Pick: Player Props Featuring Rookie Sensation Dylan Harper and Bronny James

The NBA Summer League is heating up. We have seen many rookie sensations dominate the scene. Cooper Flagg put on a show, but has been shut down now. However, the #1 pick’s absence will be well-compensated by the #2 pick, Dylan Harper.

It is a loaded NBA slate, and Harper may be playing his last game of the SL. Would Harper sign off on a high note here? Here is a look at my NBA player props for the game in the order of preference.

NBA SL Player Props Pick #1- Dylan Harper (San Antonio Spurs vs Utah Jazz)

Harper missed the first leg of the San Antonio Spurs’ Summer League campaign. He chose the perfect occasion for his SL debut. The two-way guard showed off against Cooper Flagg and came up with a win, too.

He finished with 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists. The guard shot 5/12 but didn’t connect on any of his four attempts from the three-point line. The rookie did all this in just 17 minutes as he was on a minutes restriction due to a minor groin issue.

Will he get an extended playing time before being shut down, potentially? I believe he will play around 20 minutes and rack up at least 15 points again.

NBA SL Player Props #2- Dalton Knecht

Dalton Knecht is one of the best shooters in NBA SL’s history. However, he is having a rather tough time in the Summer League. He has shot just 37% from the field for just 13.5 PPG, making just 7 out of 24 attempts (29.1% FG) from the three-point line (1.75 made triples per game).

Knecht should do much more than his current production after an NBA season. I do see him bounce back here, especially from the three-point line.

NBA SL Player Props #3- Bronny James

Bronny James has definitely improved on the defensive end. However, his offensive game remains behind the pro-ball curve. The guard showed promise when taking the much taller Cooper Flagg head-on and forcing some stops.

But his scoring woes sometimes minimize his defensive work. James scored just 6.7 PPG in the California Classic leg, shooting just 3/13 from the three-point line. But the guard recovered against the Pelicans, scoring with a 14-point performance.

However, his 1/5 deep-range performance underwhelmed once again. At any rate, I expect Bronny to be in 11-14.
