The 2025 WNBA regular season ended on Thursday night and we got our top eight teams, who will compete in the playoffs. The 2025 WNBA playoffs begin on Sunday and seeding for the all teams have been finalized on final day of the regular season.
Minnesota Lynx continued their dream run and finished the regular season with 34 wins, including record 20 wins at home. Defending champions also wrapped up their regular season campaign with a road win over the Sky. Playoffs race was high specially for the final four spots.

Golden State dropped to eighth after losing their final game against Minnesota. Seattle reached 7th spot and Indiana Fever clinched the No. 6 seed. Mercury managed to retain their 5th spot despite a loss against the Wings. Aces won their final game with ease and reached second spot in the standings.

The first round of the 2025 WNBA playoffs will begin on Sep 14 and we will have a best-of-three series in the opening round. Four best-of-three series will be played and then, we will have four teams for the WNBA semifinals.

Here’s the list of all four series in the opening round at 2025 WNBA playoffs:
Minnesota Lynx, Atlanta Dream, Las Vegas Aces and Phoenix Mercury will avail the home advantage due to a better seeding. On Sunday, first game for the each series will be played. The first round will conclude on Sep. 19.
