The 2026 FIFA World Cup is set to be the largest football tournament ever staged. In the new format, 48 teams are set to compete across 16 cities in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Excitement has already begun as FIFA have already begun the World Cup tickets pre-sale draw on September 10.
The tournament will begin on June 11 and will end by July 19. The competition will feature 104 matches, making it the longest and most expansive World Cup in history. With ticket prices confirmed and sales dates announced, supporters are eager to plan their journey.

FIFA introduced dynamic pricing for the first time. This means, ticket costs will adjust based on demand. Group stage tickets will start at $60. Meanwhile, the most expensive seats will go for the final at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey and it will rise to $6,730.
This marks a significant increase compared to past editions. Such as the 2022 Qatar World Cup, where prices ranged from $69 to $1,607. Hospitality packages for premium experiences have already been released, but general admission tickets are set to follow a structured sales process.

The tournament will span 16 host cities across North America.
United States: Atlanta, Miami, Boston, Dallas, Houston, Philadelphia, Kansas City, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle.
Canada: Toronto, Vancouver.
Mexico: Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey.
Each host nation will play its group-stage matches at home. The U.S scheduled to open its campaign on June 12 in Inglewood, California.

The general sale begins with three phases, starting in September 2025:
Fans (age above 18 years) with a FIFA Ticket ID and Visa card can register at FIFA.com. Randomly selected applicants will be notified by September 29. Purchase windows will be opening from October 1.
Registration opens for fans using multiple payment methods. Successful applicants will receive purchase slots between mid-November and early December.
Following the official group-stage draw in Washington D.C. Fans can apply for tickets to specific matches. Remaining seats will then be sold on a first-come, first-served basis closer to the tournament.
FIFA also confirmed that an official resale platform will be introduced to guarantee safe transactions. They have also urged fans to avoid unauthorized sellers. With demand expected to be unprecedented, creating a FIFA Ticket ID and registering early will be essential for fans vying for the tickets.
